desperado
I am wondering if anyone has a good source for cage tubing. I am planning caging the Camaro and I am unsure if I want to go with a prebent kit from Jegs or try out my new tubing kinker (bender). Any help is appericated or it you have pieces laying around of reasonable length from a finished project that you want a few bucks for I might be interested so hit me up. Also, What is NHRA requirement for wall thickness?
Guest 10secondMouse
The pre bent kits from Jegs fit pretty well. The nice thing is that the main hoop is a little longer so you can cut to adjust hoop to headliner height. If you want to fab it up, try Tubular techniques in Hilliard, he sells the tubing to do this too. The minimum thickness for mild steel is .120, and moly is .080. MS can be MIG or TIG, and moly is TIG only.
