Boost-n-Juice
I'm trying to get this new computer to connect to the internet with no luck. It will not resolve domain names, only IP's. Pings to IP's but not domain names, same result for IEX and Netscape. Any ideas? WOW, cable modem. THanks, BC
Alex1647545498
Search for a hosts file and edit it with note pad then delete the domain name entries. If that doesn't work then you might not have a DNS server entry setup correctly on that computer. It should have automatically pulled that information though. Unless your network is manually configured. That is if you have a network. If that doesn't help then more info from you would be nice. Nitrousbird
Were you running Win98 before?? If so, there's a common problem w/ Win98 where this happens; I have the fix for it (basically delete a few registry files and rebuild DUN).
