Boost-n-Juice
I'm trying to "back up" some DVD's. The movies are 7.6G and my DVD+R disc's are only 4.67G. I was trying to split the files up but my computer sucks and it would take over a hour to copy them from my DVD to seperate folder to then burn. Any ideas? Some program that I can try? Thanks! Gergwheel1647545492
first you need to "aquire" a copy of nero, then you need to get a copy of dvd shrink, im using 3.1 and it works great. then you insert orig dvd, once it reads it, set to custom ratio (or change the properties of the program) make it so it will fit on your dvd, then click backup and it will use the nero burning rom to compress and burn you new "bakup" dvd
timmy43016
i use the same and i dont care how big the movie is, as long as you cut out all the extras you will not sacrifice hardly any quality during the copy and it will only take 45 minutes all one one disc...the disc will only hold 4.4g at a time anyway. i have a couple of copies of nero 6 if you want it. timmy43016
on yah and the program will auto shrink for you, you will not have to do anything custom to your program. just drag and click. i have burned over a thousand movies doing these 2 programs and have found only 2 that will not copy, finding nemo and orgazmo. black00ws6
If you cant get the movie to burn... try DVD decryptor. DVD shrink is a great program though, too bad my burner is a POS and stopped burning movies

Nitrousbird
Get a dual-layer burner....they are really coming down in price. The discs are still pricey the last time I checked though. Once they come down, I may invest in one.
