Drunkendubber
HAHAHA wow dude you leave a lot to be desired. Is he getting an ip address? is the router getting an ip address? does he have windows firewall on?
Akula
Ok, wireless interent. Lets define that first. Does he have a wireless AP in his house that is hooked to a cable modem, or is it purely wireless to the ISP? If he just hooked it up and it isn't working, make sure he RTFM first. Often they require powering down the broadband router for a time during the install.
old dirty bastard
He gave me limited info on his problem because he isnt a computer person just like myself. He is staying in one of those long term stay hotels due to water damage to his house so he brought the comp over to the hotel and he had the internet on his computer and one day it just stopped. Alex1647545498
If the hotel provides it then they should have tech support for the customers. See if he can call the front desk and ask about it.

BiG BeN
yeah, i've done goldentree before while staying at the residence inn. i had problems connecting with my built in wireless card, but the provided linksys unit worked well. a few times it did give me the message about limited capabilty or something, but it went away within a couple hours.
