Guest busteryhyman
Okay, my work doesnt offer health insurance and I make crap money. Does anyone know any affordable health insurance plans that wont cost me so much i'll be living in a cardboard box? I'm in dire need of insurance
iwishiwascool
That sucks. The reason people go through work is because the larger the group of people on the plan the less it costs. I just read about alternative groups you can latch on to in order to save a significant amount of money... Ill have to poke around and see where It was. iwishiwascool
Found it... article in mens health (June 2004) "Health Insurance is available through religious organizations, professional associations, Chamber of Commerce." Check out www.hiaa.org (Health Insurance Association of America) You might see if youre applicable for medicaid as well.
BloodRed
I know companies like Blue Cross and Blue Shield will get you insurance. It may not be the best coverage, but at least it is something.
Nitrousbird
Find a new job. If the pay is crappy, it is REALLY going to feel crappy paying full health insurance out of pocket. There are crappy jobs out there that at least provide health insurance coverage.
