Boost-n-Juice
I just bought a 47" Panasonic HDTV. I purchased a set of component Monster cables for the DVD player and whenever I play something, it has Red tint to it. Any ideas? Thanks, BC
black00ws6
try normal RCA cables or S video.. if it fixes it then one of the component cables could be bad.
Trouble Maker
Double check to make sure that you don't have to color cables switched, the Pr, Pb lines <~ I bet that's it. You could have it plugged into a 5 line input, H, V, R, G, B. Those inputs are usually used for HDTV, but I believe they sometimes double them and you can change a setting, or it will auto switch between an H, V, R, G, B input and a 'component' input, Sync, Pr, Pb. Although I think if you did that, you couldn't get a discernable picture. I FUCKING HATE UBB! It wouldn't let me use parenthesis.
Boost-n-Juice
Thanks guys. It was the settings in the DVD player, you have to select the output type, I had it on S Video. HDTV rules!
iwishiwascool
you probably need to have it adjusted. Assuming its rear projection LCD/DLP/CRT they all get jiggled enough in route to significantly degrade the quallity of the picture. Get it done or learn how to do it yourself... here is a forum for tvfags: www.hdtvoice.com
