Boost-n-Juice
Know anything about this? I'm not complaining! "Dear WOW! Internet Customer, To help you get the most out of the Internet, we’re accelerating your Internet speed. Beginning March 11, 2005, we’re increasing your Internet speed from 2Mbps to 4Mbps – at no additional charge! Now you’ll be able to surf the Internet even faster than before, download pictures and streaming video more quickly, and even play online games like a pro!" Nitrousbird
Yup, we are moving speeds up for our advanced and ultra customers free of charge. We have been doing it slowly for the past month or so, so you may/may not have that speed at that date.
MrMeanGreen
I'm at 8MB/sec with their 6MB package and badass telephony/internet modem. 8.1MB/sec to be exact smile.gif

tandm
Are they bumping the upload speeds at all?

House was built 3 years ago. That's plenty of time for them to get their ass in gear.

If it's not in Franklin county (or near the border of Franklin), it won't happen, and may never happen (has to be profitable, and something like that would cost any company a HUGE investment to start up in a new area). Less to do with parts of town, more to do w/ what group of modems they do at a time. Doing it slowly to try to minimize customer problems. That's why we haven't announced it yet, and technically if you are paying for the advanced package, we are only guaranteeing 2Mbps until the upgrade is complete for everyone. I was just joking about WOW putting hi-speed in our area. I think the only phone company available out here is Verizon. And they don't offer it. They keep saying that they're gonna offer it out here, but they've been saying that forever. Oh, and Ashville is about 20 min. south of the southern part of 270, straight down Rt. 23. Not a big place.
