Disclaimer Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 IHRA will run the full 1/4 mile because the TF cars that run over there don't make the same power as the NHRA guys -- more money is poured into the NHRA pro classes than IHRA pro classes. I was told at the last IHRA event, only 4 TF cars even showed up. I can only imagine if they let the NHRA pro stock guys run the 700-800 ci engines that they let the IHRA guys run...If they want to slow down, either quit being cry babies and get out of the cars, or change the rules and make them run less cubic inch engines that don't make the same kind of horespower to begin with. At least some engineering testing and advancement can be done if they switch to some other engine combination. How much would you have to beef up a 2.2L Ecotec to make 4000hp on nitro?
