Browning
My mom works for a Nursing home, well they screwed up and wasnt taking out city taxes from her. Then today she gets her check, and all of her withdrawls(federal, state, etc..,.) were reset. She went and asked her boss, and she said that in order to fix the city tax problem, they fired then rehired my mother, without even telling her about it. Can they do this? This is gonna make taxes a little more dificult, screw up the resume, etc...Can anything be done about this?
Alex1647545498
Not going to screw with resume. She worked from x date to x date. That's it. She might have 2 w2 forms for taxes. It's not really going to mess anything up. You'll still have a total income and total widthdraw.
Browning
Why wouldnt they inform her of it though. Seems like something sneaky, ya know
Alex1647545498
I don't see why they need to hire you then fire you just to change your tax information. I've had to change mine before and it never happened to me. Nor have I heard of it before. That is wierd... I'm not an employer though so I guess we'll have to wait to hear from someone that is. Browning
Yea I guess, but her pto days are gone! The reason they fired/rehired was because they screwed up in the first place and wasnt taking Lancaster taxes out on her.
