mustang targa tops?

It looks pretty good, but I question how structurally sound the setup is. Full-length subframes would have to be a bare minimum IMO. The strenghth of the A-pillars comes into question. Niffty, but would definately have to be well reseached before doing it.

This has been done on a couple 4th Gen F-body's. The setup is a bit simpler, as all you are really doing is cutting out the T-bar and bolting in a targa top (this is true even for hardtop cars, as they are nothing more than T-tops cars w/ a fiberglass shell in place of the tops). The guy who did this also did subframe connectors and convertiable bracing. I believe it was determined that the A-pillars were the same setup as the vert's, so that wasn't an issue, and the B-pillar was strong enough without the support.
