Guest Scooter
Vehicle: 1996 Blazer LT, Full Size Problem: When turning the wheel at low speeds, sometimes at a stop, I hear a "popping" sound from the front end. It hasn't occured at speeds exceeding 15 mph, that I can tell. This popping sound also generates a small, barely noticeable vibration throughout the vehicle. The vibration, however, is not felt through the steering wheel. The sound seems to occur when I turn the wheel to the right (might on the left, as well, but maybe not as often, or I don't notice it). Question: Ball joints? CV Joint? Not a joint? I just had the ball joints on the front end replaced MAYBE 5,000 miles ago, if not less. So I hope it's not those. Any ideas on this popping sound, and if I can get away with not repairing it (since I am going on deployment for a year)?

wnaplay1647545503
Take it back to whoever did the ball joints and ask them to do a courtesy check. Tell them you want to make sure the noise isnt the joints and they'll probably tell you what needs fixed for free.
