I am just frustrated at my bill always seeming like it gets bigger all the time.
Guest racinbird
yeah it sucks, I was able to get warner to give me that same package for 65 a month for the first year, but its up to $93 a month now
nurkvinny
Greg, I feel the EXACT same way about TW. My wife was renting a lot of movies every month from a small video store that had 5 movies for 5 days for $5. Figured I'd get the HBOs, Cinemaxes, Showtimes for her and it would be a wash (and 24x7 on demand bigscreen semi-porn was cool for a week). TW lied about getting 2 free digital boxes with the agreement (5.95 x2 per month), took FOREVER to bury the damn line in my yard, and has raised their price 3 times since August (small raises, but still). My house came with a Dish Network satellite, but satellite internet blows IMO. I too feel stuck. I am in the boonies, and TW and satellite are my ONLY choices. About ready to drop to basic cable. I don't have a home phone either.
Blazen
Have you looked at Dish networks? http://www.satellitesales.com/ And see if there is a lesser plan for Road Runner. As for your phone, You could try CoreComm.

Skinner
when we switched from wow to TW we got a locked price for $69.95 that includes digal cable (one box) dvr, and RR with the 5mb download we got that package at that price for 2 years about a year into it now. Alex1647545498
If you get a PDA mobile phone on a highspeed network and get unlimited data plan then you can use your mobile phone to access internet at DSL speeds via usb connection between computer and phone. I added unlimited data with sprint for $15 more a month. With couple bars of signal I got connected at over 500 kbps. Upload isn't as good though. I'm not sure how fast you need your connection to be so... might want to consider that.
Guest powers
I am already with TW so no new customer discounts. There is only one package for roadrunner. I have called Dish Network and that would shave off 10 bucks a month. And the money I would save is the difference of a few beers out one night. It just pisses me off that I have no options but TW. I called ot talk about my bill tonight but was put on hold for 45 mins before I hung up and said f this. So I guess this is just a rant. I just got pissed when I totled up all my utilities crap this month. Between cell phones, pda's, cable, all the things we HAVE to have that we didn't use to we are shelling out hundreds of dollars a month. People bitch about the price of gas but I got freakin raped between Verizon and Time Warner this month. Ok I am done.
Mr. Jones
WOW = Teh Win. Every year I pay less for my service. I have the 6mb internet + Basic + Cable... $60.00 every month totalw / taxes. Everytime my 1 year guaranteed price is over I call and they happily re-negotiate. I wish WOW was in more area's they could clean up even more, I have never had a better customer service experience. Sully
Call TW and get your RR reduced to RR Lite. I just did that. I was paying approx $45 a month for RR and just found out that last year, they started offering RR Lite. It's 19.95 a month. I just use RR for e-mail and surfin the message boards and I really can't tell a difference in speed. The lady told me that RR Lite is 384K down, 128K up. Doesn't bother me at all since I don't game or d/l stuff. I also reduced my cable tv to standard (2 - 75). My cable bill went from $93 a month to $47 a month. TW doesn't like to tell people about RR Lite, for obvious reasons. When I told her that I was going to cancel and switch to DSL, that's when she told me about RR Lite.
