zeitgeist57
***Copied from Naplesracing.com...someone buy a car I wish I could get!!!*** Due to circumstances beyond my control I am forced to sell my recently aquired Starion. It is a red 1988 ESi-R, 5 speed, non SHP. The engine was recently rebuilt about 6 months ago and bored out .30 over using stock pistons with larger rings. I replaced the head gasket a couple months ago but it did not blow from overboosting or overheating. It blew from improper torque on the head studs. I have the old gasket and many pictures of the process for inspection if requested. The head was not cracked or damaged. It is the original head and the jet valves have not been removed, however they have been disabled. The only mods the car has are an undetermined brand of BOV that came with the car when I bought it, a 2.5 inch exhaust from the stock down pipe to the tips with one resonator/muffler at the end and no cats. It has a new "racing" clutch but I have no idea what brand, type or force. Also the emission equiptment has been removed. The body is in very good condition, there is no rust at all, anywhere. There are two dings on the drivers side door, one more on the hood, and the grille peice between the headlights is a little bent from previous mechanics not removing it before working on it. It should be easy to bend back, I would do it if I had the time. The paint looks good but it is a repaint and there are minor flaws, however they are only noticible when pointed out or searched for. There are a couple of chips in the paint but only on the grille peice and the drivers fender. There are also cracks in the paint on the wing and the front valance is cracked on the side and could use a repaint but it doesn't look bad. I'm probably being overly critical reguarding the exterrior but I'm very pickey myself and I try to include everything. I will also post a link with pictures The interior is cloth and very nearly mint. The seats look brand new and show very little wear only on the side bolster of the drivers seat. There are no cracks in the dash at all and it still has a shine to it and looks new. Same with the door pannels and rear side pannels. The trim peice around the stereo was cracked and has been glued back together but that is the only blemish that the interior has. I would like to get $4000 for it but I need to sell it relatively quick and Cash talks so make me an offer. The car is located in north Cape Coral. Pictures are located at http://home.swfla.rr.com/drvlikhell . I will take better pictures when I have some time in the daylight hours, it needs to be washed.
