I am tired of seeing my golden monster sit for years with almost no use. The time to free up my garage has come.

1982.5 XJS, H.E. V12

Good:

Excellent motor, never overheated, totally regasketed / re-hosed last year, new chain and guides, even compression all 12, tons of work, new original exhaust (empty cats.) Pulls like a beast! Oil pressure is around 65psi above 2000rpm. Too much work to list. NO OIL LEAKS, can you believe that!? Raditor is re-cored, cooling fans are converted to BMW dual speed electric, air injection is removed. Only 2 belts left of the 4.

6 y.o. rebuilt GM automatic, shifts excellent. Car sounds excellent and peels tires even with LSD, just give it a little punch.

A/C is originally charged, still works, but needs ~1Lb of R12. Paint is 2 y.o, original color, paid ungodly amount to get it done.

Interior has maroon leather in excellent condition, bought it from UK, off similar of 1987 XJS.

16" Ronal rims, with very good Pirelli 4000s, lip needs buffing.

Car gets 18mpg after all the engine and ecu tuning.

To do list:

Suspension needs alignment after I redid baljoints, replaced rear bushings and falcrum bearings, one bushing is still in the trunk, to be installed.

Wood needs some repair, but easily doable. Nothing is missing, have tons of extra parts.

Some interior works needs completing, approximately 2-3 days of play and she will be all done.

couple rust bumps surfaced 2 years after new paint, but too small to notice on pictures. Have spare paint from body shop for touch-ups.

I simply have no time to play with her anymore and need to switch. All the hard work is done, all the big money is spent. If you know about these cars than you will know that finding one with solid engine that needs no work is nearly impossible. Almost every V12 Jag will have 350 in it, or some BS story, that motor needs an easy tuneup :bs: This car is a crank and go anytime, motor is a pure gem.

If I don't move it locally I will wait until it warms up, to do some final touches and than eBay it. Next year it will qualify for historical plates, which is also kinda cool.

Asking $7K, might consider trades.

Mostly because:

C'mon she is British:)

:p

Honnestly though, I'm not a fan of the color but that is a beutiful Jag. I very curious to learn more about your transmission job. Are you saying you actualy got rid of the 3 speed and put some other transmission behind it?

The V12 XJ-S came from the factory (1978-1992 I think) with a GM Turbo Hydramatic 400. Kicker was, the case was Jaguar specific, and would not bolt up to the 4.0 or 4.2 inline six, nor a SBC... which is a common swap in these cars. I had a later model one, and I wish I had the spare cash to take this one off your hands; it's beautiful.

P.S. I love the color.

Transmission is 400 turbo, but it was replaced with remanufactured one (according to the tag) in late 90s.

I will start finishing up the interior in a few days, than I will post more pics. Drove her to Microcenter this weekend, still got the mad powah.

Early shot, when I was redoing the cooling system. I had heads pulled and redone after that.
