dragknee66
I need a tranny flush. I dont want to do it myself. Looking for one of those cool machines that hooks up to the tranny and flushes the gunk out.

wnaplay1647545503
His name is Brian and he works at the whitehall firestone across from dscc. I have also heard that on older vehicles this process may do more harm than good. Although I dont know why.

I have also heard that on older vehicles this process may do more harm than good. Although I dont know why. The "gunk" builds somewhat of a seal in the valvebody, when it's not there, the seals leak causing slipping and weirdness.

street pilot
If you are still looking for a shop, shoot me a PM. I have a friend that runs a shop and I know he has a brand new "state of the art" flush machine. If you do all your routine flushes with this machine, the company will warranty your drivetrain parts. Kinda makes you a believer. That said, I would also advise against using one of these pressurized machines to flush certain systems. For instance, a tranny with gunk as mentioned above... a simple DIY drain and refill will not disturb the buildup, where the flush may break it loose and clog filters/hoses/parts/etc. If the vehicle is new, its the best thing around.. high miles you should really think twice about it. dragknee66
Its a high high milage... Im thinking about just not doing it now. Hmm
wnaplay1647545503
I reconsidered doing mine after first considering it. Now I just go with the drain, filter and re-fill.
