Cleetus rear suspension...leaf to a 4-link?

NOT for lowriding...I want to get rid of the sagging 3/4 ton rear leaf suspension in favor of this for hauling/towing.

Does this work well with 5000lb air bags in the rear to maintain safe towing and a 2000lb bed capacity?

Thanks!

First off, I've heard nothing but bad about FBI. Check out suicidedoors.com

That being said, a 4-link and airbags is a lot of work. Don't forget that you will also need a compressor, tank, solenoids, lines, wiring, switches, blah blah blah. That's if you want to be able to adjust it on the fly, which is definately preferred. It's possible to just have a fitting so you can pump them up at the gas station, but you won't be able to get much pressure from that, it may not be enough.

As for how well it works, it does. That should be a good setup, just keep in mind there is a lot to it.

Here's something else you may want to look at:

Nothing right now, but I've towed dual-axle car carriers and hauled over a ton in the bed. Re-arching the stock spring is going to be $150 and I thought a 4-link and airbag setup would look cooler and perform much better on a truck I plan on keeping for a looooong time.

Apparently, as usual, I was wrong. :)
