Can you Turn Cross-drilled and Slotted Rotors?

I think it would be fine. The only thing to worry about is that where the material is removed there is a concentration of stress if you have to take off too much material it might be enough to have the rotor fail.

 

maybe someone might chime in. plus you might have trouble finding someone to turn *modded* rotors.

I asked my dad about this subject before I posted, he has a machine shop. He said they can be turned . mst of the time they are turned with a carbide tool. If the shop is trying to take to large of a pass it make break the carbide insert. you will have to call around to find a place....

I've turned them. Like others said, make sure not to take too much off at a time. Take it shallow on the rough cuts and make more of them, it'll work fine.
