gt-titan Posted June 6, 2006 Report Share Posted June 6, 2006 89 S10 extended cab with a 350 small block i just picked this truck up on a trade deal. i really have no interest in the truck but i do need a car for my daughter who will be driving soon. so a trade would be good. Guest Removed Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 why does this thing smoke so bad well , when we started it up and pulled it off the trailer it smoked a little.. is it worse now thats it, tell dusty to pull all the spark plugs out, i'll be over to do a compression test on it, and a leakdown test... and have him pull a valve cover off, so i can run all the numbers..... Guest Removed Posted June 14, 2006 Report Share Posted June 14, 2006 pull all the plugs out, and gas just starts pouring of # 8 and 5.. all the plugs where black.. and that carb is junk!!! new plugs, wires, and some beating on the inside of the carb (and some parts from a few others carbs), now it runs real strong. idles, smooth. shifts hard, exhaust leak will be fixxed soon, slap a floor shifter in it.. and back up for sale or trade!!!!!! 305 from a mid 80's car 650 carb(not 750)!!!!!
