Congrats!!! Now, it's time to find any reason whatsoever to go out and get in it. When I get a new car, I like to go straight home and go through the whole manual first while sitting in it. I know. I like abuse. Then drive it for every damn reason I can find. Post some pics. I believe I woulda chosen the STI, as well. :D

Do you STi guys roll race at all? I'm wanting to compare my WRX to a STi if anyone is interested. I don't know how well I'd match up, but it's a VF22 powered car with right around 300 AWHP...just wanting to meet some other Subaru owners and get some races in.

Exhaust, boost controller, up and downpipes for starters..

All of the above will deny warranty issues.

Get a Cobb AccessPort (which may also deny warranty) but it is a good first mod and you can switch back to stock mode if you need to.

You may want to get new tires or suspension mods. They shouldn't mess with the warranty.

Congrats on your purchase. Maybe I'll see you driving around town.

um no, there is no cat in the uppipe of the STI so no uppipe is needed, and a boost controler is a bad idea unless you are going to have it protuned.

But Yes to exhaust, and downpipe, only if you buy a AccessPort from cobb first. You will throw codes if you do not do this, the fixes that you put on the car are not worth it.

Do alot of reading before you mod. You may not even want to go the cobb route that is the cheapest. You may decide to throw $10,000 in it.

Oh and one last thing, DO NOT PUT A AFTERMARKET BLOW OFF VALVE ON IT UNLESS YOU HAVE A FRONT MOUNT AND A LARGE TURBO.

okay cool the only things I was looking to possibly do is something like the "access port" which could take you back to stock and maybe a boost controller. what would safe jump in boost be?

I'm running an AP (stage 2) right now on my LGT. (Same motor as your STI, but smaller VF40 turbocharger).

The stock target boost on my car was 13.5 psi.... but I'm running around 17 right now with the Cobb Stg 2 91 oct. map.
