Rice Eater
Any DOT Dr's are going to be ok for dry weather street use. If you have any doubts, the Nittos do really goo even in the rain. I have about 15k on mine and it still shows all the grooves. I run them pretty much year round on my daily driver.
Tulo
Alot of Honda guys use the BFG drag radials. They get really sticky after they're heated up. In the rain they aren't worth a shit though.
gillbot
Mickey Thompson dr's for traction, nittos for street life.

Rice Eater
Nitto only makes a 245/50-16. For pure stick I'd say MT et street radial..outlawed by some sanctioning bodies I understand. But, only in 255/50-
