Need a cigarett lighter equivilent

I've got a power inverter and a camera to run off it...but no cigarett lighter to plu it into. Its a race car, andI dont smoke. But my Camera battery is shot and I need some power for it.

 

What can I tap into to get the inverter the right juice? Just the battery?

The unverter plug: which is power and which is ground, the tip or the sides?

I've got a cigarette lighter that you could splice a power and ground onto and just mount it somewhere if you want it. Let me know, I can bring it to the thrift store or something, I have no use for it.

Usually the wire with the white stripe is the positive. Yes you can hook it directly to te battery.

Also, wally world and meijer have cig lighters (or at leats used to) and napa/autozone should deff. have them in a nice generic package.

Yup, those aren't hard to find. I'm just looking for a current to feed'm. In all reality, if I find my OEM Cig lighter wires in here some where, I can just hard-wire the inverter itself. Ding, perminent A/C outlet in the car.

if you don't use the oem wires and tap directly off the battery, make sure you in-line fuse it to keep from frying your camera
