V8 Beast
I have an 03 Stratus RT that I was thinking about modding up to 350hp. I think the entire project will cost about $11000. Do you think its worth it??? Now that my TA is in the final stages I dont know what to do with all the free time
BuckeyeGT
dunno if id spend 11k on a stratus.. might as well start w/ a better platform.
Mojoe
For 11K you can get more for less. Stratus is a very limited platform. You would never get your $ out of it after you are bored with it.
Jelloman4571647545499
2 door or 4 door. 2 door is Mitisubishi powered and 4 door is chrysler powered. 2 door is easy 4 door is hard.
BloodRed
yep like Jelloman asked, Coupe or Sedan. The after market for the 2.7L in the Seden's is very limited. If you are lucky, you will have the 3.0L Coupe, which is the exact same engine in the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Parts are very easy to find. Tearstone makes some turbo kits and supercharger for the Engine. I don't know if 350hp is very easy to get to and actually run right. I know a couple guys that have been working with Tearstone since they came out with the supercharger and it still doesn't run very well. One of the guys that had a turboed Eclipse lives in the Powell area is is very willing to help others since he dealt with it a lot with his car. Anyway, if you do have the Coupe, check out http://www.2gstratus.org and http://www.club3g.com. My user name is the same as here.

Oh hey Crow, didn't know you where on here. You were the one I was talking about that lived in the area (not sure why Powell came to mind). I met you at the Alum Creek meet. I was the one with the maroon Stratus.
V8 Beast
It's the 3.0L RT 2 Door coupe with auto stick. I might put about $5000 into it now that I think about it. It will be more of a show car than anything else. I saw a 68 camaro that was being sold for $4000. I could spend years on that
TheBussman1647545507
not woth it, but yea at least it is the 3.0. the 2.7 has to be one of the wost engines ever made, i've had to do 3, 2.7L engine jobs in 1 year were i work. that's out of a total of 8! and most of those blew up a mounth or 2 after we fixed them, you can't even buy a warrenty plan for $5,000 on a 2.7L were i work. sorry about the rant. Jelloman4571647545499
Automotive specialist on Morse road is one of the few people that take 2.7s out and through in 3.5s. They have all the secrets to know how to do it and are very resonable on the price and quick turn around time.
