Stampede
Due to recent engine sizes and the lack of any room in the engine compartments. How important is it to keep the header length the same, vs having them range from 2-6 inches? Any big drops in hp / tq, through the rpm's? Thanks. Dave1647545494
you mean equal length vs unequal length? short unequal length hedders seem to make more low rpm power idle 3000 longer equal length hedders seem to make more high rpm power 3000- up
Trjackson
I was under the impression it was quite the opposite. Because of the shorter exhaust reverberations, the power band is higher on short runner headers. Am I wrong? Ty
Stampede
Is there a certain target length for long tube headers? Thanks.
BIG SHAFE
I was under the impression it was quite the opposite. Because of the shorter exhaust reverberations, the power band is higher on short runner headers. Am I wrong? Ty Its opposite for intake lengths. Shrot lengths = high rpm, long lengths = low rpm. Although exhaust lengths have less effect for rpm tuning than exhaust type, i.e 4-2-1 or 4-1 combos.
