Guest Hal
Peaks at 750 lbft and 550 hp, strange curve. Discuss... http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f277/punkhott712/scan0002.jpg
turbosi44
Diesel?
twistedfocus1647545489
Yeah, I would think Diesel also. or possibly someone's nitrous bottle pressure dropped rapidly during the run, as in it ran out or nearly out (assuming it's even using nitrous)? alibies
*reads other responces* yeah... i'd say it's a diesel
Lustalbert
big turbo, blew a hole in the hose or intercooler when it started to spool up? I doubt diesel, 6300 rpm is spinning the wee out of an oil burner.
ICEMAN1647545504
I dont think it is a Diesel also 6300rpm???. I think that he sprays NAWZZ at about 3600 and the car goes lean and you see a rapid spike in the power and torque, but as the car adds more fuel it lowers it down. coltboostin
Dynopack playing its usuall tricks is my guess.-Can explain it, just strap it to a Dynojet and be done with it.
Bam
I didn't know Cobra's came with diesel engines? That's what I'd assume based on the posts, damn, lol. What are you mods Hal?
Guest Hal
didn't convert the cobra to diesel...yet... I'm trying to figure out what the hell is happening to my curve, I know it's really rich, but the drop is insane. Mods are: exhaust, intake, 2.8 pulley, 150 shot. Mensan
AF please. It looks like you ran out of fuel.
Guest Hal
a/f was 10.6-10.8...I had plenty of fuel lol. I'm thinking the 750 may have been a lean spike.
SPLN SUX
ive only seen that with turbo charged cars with an auto tranny.... If i had to guess, id say that the its an error with the dyno... only reason i say that is because the blip is at the same point of the curve, and its radius looks to be half of the corrisponding curve. Id say the Dyno let loose for a slipt second and loaded back up. Looks more like this.... http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y292/mrmeanr/scan0002.jpg
twistedfocus1647545489
That makes more sense. I haven't seen one spike like that, so I assumed it wasn't a graph from his Cobra.
Miller
Definitely leaning out from the juicey.
GSXRAntwon
Thanks for coming ot Slowmotion for dyno day! Anthony
Guest Hal
I'm hoping it is the dyno just letting go for a second. That's a much more manageable curve than the nasty spike. Now time to lean it out a bit :burn:
SPLN SUX
are you on a window switch? if so wht RPM?
RedRocket1647545505
are you on a window switch? if so wht RPM? If I had to guess, I'd say he's hitting it around 3k, as that's where it starts to make a dramatic rise. I've been known to be wrong before though. Also, Hal, do you have a breakdown by RPM that shows your AFR? I would guess that would tell you whether or not it's going lean in that area. If it's not going lean, then I would guess that it's a dyno malfunction like has been said before.
Guest Hal
I wish I had the afr by rpm, but I don't. I may call slomo and see if they have it there though. The spray should come on at 3500 (that's where corey was supposed to hit WOT).
Guest GMoney
thats the answer he floored it at 3300 and NOS came on creating a lean spike = alot of HP and Torque
boosting28psi
^^^^ i agree with him......also looks like the bottle pressure was kind of low? do you have a window switch???? looks like it lean spiked when you went WOT the bottle pressure dropped
Linn1647545492
hal that is a normal dyno graph for a sprayed car. they spkie then fall off just look at mine.
