zeitgeist57
My '95 has just over 80k miles on it, and has never been in an accident since I bought it 3 years ago with 43k on the odo. Recently, the window wouldn't line up properly with the door shut. It would hiss terribly with wind noise, and I would need to roll it down an inch just for passengers to get in and out. Plus, with the window all of the way up, I could grab it by the edges and rock it back and forth in the door. Something was definitely loose and making it go all out of whack. It still goes up and down perfectly well, but just has a lot of slop laterally. Yesterday, I took off the door panel to do an inspection...tough to find what was wrong. However, I did find what looked like some sort of guide in the front of the window glass that broke off. Pics are attached below: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/Image002Medium.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/zeitgeist57/Image001Medium.jpg It looks like whatever used to be bolted there rode up and down the rod just in front and to the left of it. Pieces of black plastic are visible inside the door at the bottom when I looked down. ANY CLUE AS TO WHAT THIS IS FOR SURE, AND WHERE TO GET A REPLACEMENT??? I need to fix it as soon as possible. I've already posted something about this problem on http://www.corvetteforum.com Thanks for the help in advance!
