Patrick Posted November 1, 2006 Report Share Posted November 1, 2006 I have a Penco (pseudonym for Ibanez) 4001/Rickenbacker copy bass for sale. It is a four string, comes with the original case, and currently has rotosound flatwounds on it. I have cleaned it up since buying it three years ago. The action is slightly higher than my Jazz bass, but nothing uncomfortable. The tone is very versatile, having a three-way switch, and individual tone knobs for the pickups. The only complaint I have is that the strap buttons are slightly smaller than my Yamaha bb1600's, but it is as solid as a rock and has never fallen off of me. It's always been reliable and a nice go-to bass for shows, but I just have too many instruments and want to get rid of it. I payed nearly $500 for it. Please post reasonable offers.
