Guest Hal
Damnit, I spent all my money on the turbos...now I need to spray too?? How much are you planning on making?
V8 Beast
500+ on motor, close to 800 on spray
Guest Hal
Sounds like it'll be a stout setup. I'd like to run you a couple times. Once with me on low boost you on motor, and once balls to the wall.

RUTAN TA1647545492
Brian, did you steal my cam? I think you made the right choice on your trans and I would consider using a LS2 or L92 block(alum or lg bore sleel).I think you should give me a call,I can save you a TON of money. V8 Beast
Oh yeah, you know we are going to race!! I'll be at the track as much as I can too. Should be interesting. John It should be around February before I'll have the money for the block, so I still have an open mind. If I can find reliability for what I want in a block that weighs 100lbs less then I'm all for it!!!I went Iron because I'm still planning on running twin Garrett turbos in 2008 at a rediculous psi(900+rwhp). The displacement with the turbos I want makes for a nice setup. But you know me reliability>speed. We will definitely talk before I buy the block. V8 Beast
^Damn, you beat me too it LOL!!. The LS1 will be for sale. It'll come with AFR 205's and a 228/232 .588/.595 110+1LSA custom nitrous cam. I dont have a price in mind yet. John called me and told me about the l92's. If I port them I can save a bunch of money (without switching to geico ) As far as blocks I want to see what the new lsx block is all about. Its a good thing I have 2 months of prep to get everything together.... 800rwhp FTMFW!!!! If we do pinks I'm not driving. I would rather put on a tight t-shirt and waive my arms around..... New slogan - loose the race.... loose your ride... I already lost my dignity by wearing this tight ass shirt

I'll let you know if I start parting it out. I have a few people that are asking for parts as well, so I may get more out of parting it rather then selling it as a complete motor. koolrayz
your building a big bore LS and you didnt know about the LSX block? Why would you put AFR 225 or L-92's on an engine like that. I think you need to go back to researching. I would look into the NEW heads that are being designed by GM around this block. (read 6 head bolts per cylinder). Good luck having these parts by summer your right about being lucky to make one pass in 07. The L-92 heads are a truck head that are very inexpensive and have a huge intake valve. but without a good exhaust valve your going nowhere. The only thing that makes them nice is the price. Do you really want to build a max effort machine and skimp on the head castings? If you actually do build something let me know so we can get together. I'm always looking for someone to check my tail lights.
V8 Beast
The AFR's and L92's were before I found out about the LSX block. I never said I was putting L92's on an lsx block, that wouldnt make any sense. I said ported l92's would work good on a 6.0L iron stroker. I would have to match the block to the heads when they are both released.

If you plan on spraying I would get a new tranny before you end up like me. Hey PM me with your mod list. I'm curious to see what you are doing with it.
