El Karacho1647545492
Thought it'd get more attention here, and its more about the news than about the car. Still, 485 hp in 1939!??! thats effin nuts, even though it was twin-supercharged. http://www.cnn.com/2006/AUTOS/12/04/hitler_auto_union/index.html

Science Abuse
3-liter V12, 185mph. People made big power back then, just not in so compact a package. I've got a nice painting of that car leading an 8CTF (420bhp 3.0 twin-blown) in my living room, love those things. Bonus points if you can tell us who drove it in the Belgrade Grand Prix, and what day it was. (you have all the info you need). pics: http://www.lotuscarclub.org/Tour2002/Photos/images/Auto_Union_engine_jpg.jpg http://www.forix.com/8w/sokol/typd_rear.jpg http://www.simonlewis.com/oscart/images/Auto-Union-4-Nuvolari-at-McLareans-b.jpg
