Guest Removed
Might want to check with ford first, but i think if you have a independent repair garage handle the repair, ford just may reimburse you. just my 2 cents.
zuht
All I can really contribute is: Stay away from Kreiger. They like to skip the tedious steps such as hooking turn signals back up and reassembling the dashboard.

kirks5oh
jim kiem, the head guy over the service dept. is pete klagman. they do very good work. i've had good luck with jim keim, and bad luck with germain ford. i had a few things repaired under warranty at germain, and they botched a fuel pump job, and my car was dirty as shit when i got it back--they also let it sit outside overnight despite my specific demand not to. jim keim has done a few warranty jobs on my cobra, as well as our explorer, and we've had good luck with them. Oh man, that is a the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Pete is a bi-polar incompetent bastard. That guy probably can't even manage his sock drawer. AJ
I did recall work on a winstar a few weeks ago, customer was reimbursied by ford motor company....so how not? recalls are the only warranty type work an independent shop can do. GM is the same way if the cust. has there car fixed and its a recall and they didn't know it they can call GM and get there money back.
