copperhead
I've been away from Ohio for awhile. Why the need for the gun? What is a good resource to learn more about the concealed carry laws? Floridians can use deadly force to defend themselves. How does that compare to Ohio? Florida has the best gun laws evar. Thorne (and everyone else that wants to better themselves at shooting) watch this video: http://video.google.com/url?vidurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.com%2Fvideoplay%3Fdocid%3D-4584332856867071363%26q%3Dtodd%2Bjarret%26hl%3Den&docid=-4584332856867071363&ev=v&esrc=sr1&usg=AL29H22Sp6oCzQe17iwIfLYZ0dLZnlzhYw That's Todd Jarrett, IPSC shooting champion showing how the most important thing that you can do to be accurate is use a proper grip. Watch that video, see if you can use the grip he teaches, then watch the video again.

street pilot
welcome to the club Very nice purchase, I have been eyeing the XD-40 subcompat in a .40cal for a while now. Let me know how you like it.

Putty
Once again....I had my finger on the trigger, so you could get an idea how big the sub-compact is in my hand, for those who know me. Was not LOADED! Just got it home. The newer guns come with sights on the side of the gun too. I assume I need those being i'm black, huh? We're all considered "homey's from the hood". nice choice they are fun guns and break down in about 10 seconds. Im buying the .45 4" with extended mag tomorrow. Then a gunsmith at my work is doing a competition trigger set on it monday. Taking the CCW in 2 weeks too for 150.00. I recently shot the Glock 36, .45 acp and it was waaay too much for that size gun. .40 is enough in a compact. The new XD .45 acp should pack about the same punch as the Glock. $150 is a little high for the ccw class. I've found from $50-100 range. Exact same results with me. Now I think it's time for new glasses, apparently i can barely see a target at 25 feet
