Dr. Apex
A ton of money but truely a one of a kind car. Not many people get to own a car that was built by that person and has so much racing heritage.
Rally Pat
If that was Carrol Shelby's personal car, then 5.5 million is worth every penny!
Got-Boost?
Not to mention it was built back in the 60's like that. It's not a car that has been recently modified and put up for sale....

That car wouldn't go that fast without a fixed roof according to everything that i have heard. That is why they built the Daytona coupe , for top end speed. Got-Boost?
I read that with the 3-speed auto, it was only geared to 188mph.... The speed isn't the problem, it just takes a lot more HP to go that fast without a fixed roof and more aero friendly design.
SPLN SUX
Pratt bought the Futurliner for 4,100,000, AND THEN DROVE IT HOME!... i saw that on TV... it was a big mess. He buys all kinds of shit for his showroom.
lawnman
A brick is more aerodynamic that the old Cobras. They have a huge hole in the front end and tend to lift at a high speed, I know this from experience.
HAOLE
I believe the cobra held the 0-60 record from the 1960's until the mid 80's.(4.2sec ??). I think it was a Lambo that broke the record.
lawnman
0-60 it is a beast. High hp and low weight is always good.

Boost-n-Juice
Did they have AN fittings like that back in '65?
lawnman
Depends on what components you put into one. My first Cobra ran 19k, and I used all used parts. Second one was a mixture of new and used parts and cost 30k . Third one was all new and cost me 35-36k, I bought the best and shiniest parts for that one. I did all my own work and the only thing I did not do was paint. Daytona coupe will run mid 40's, but have heard of being able to build them for mid 30's . My next one will be a coupe. As fa ras the gt40' s go I can only guess as I have no first hand knowledge. If you want to get a closer look at 400 Cobras , coupes and even a few gt 40's try http://www.londoncobrashow.com I have been there the last 4 years. You will see most of the manufactures and talk to people that built them. If you are ever serious about buying one let me know first , I can save you around $2500. I can push it around in the garage/driveway, lol. Now to just save up some more money and find some more time to work on it. Always something right? lawnman
What exactly is a "real" replica? It was a joke. There is a guy I know that calls his car Real , just not real old. There are more than a few guys that will tell you that theirs is a " real " one.
