Guest powers
VT engines of Michigan was contracted bey Aeromotive to build a pro mod motor for their new race car. Here is what Jim of VT posted Hey guys, just wanted to post a few pics of the car's progress. The car is an 06 Mustang built by Larson Race Cars. The car is powered by a VT 5.4 based twin turbo set-up. We are looking to become not only the holder of the fastest N/A Mod Motor...but also the fastest Mod Motor PERIOD! Everything in this motor is one off.....the intake, cams, custom Jesel valvetrain, etc, etc. We'll post pics of the engines progress shortly. These pics show the mock up GT block and GT heads used to fab the turbo system with. Much of what we learned and designed into this engine will be available soon ..... pics I love the intake http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4032d1170878280-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-chassis-driver-side-reduced.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4033d1170878296-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-chassis-reduced.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4034d1170878319-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-driver-side-engine.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4035d1170878343-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-front-shot.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4036d1170878391-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-passenger-side-engine.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4037d1170878521-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-intake-end-reduced.jpg http://forums.modulardepot.com/attachments/depot/4038d1170878540-vt-aeromotive-pro-5-0-pro-mod-06-mustang-progress-intake-reduced.jpg

T Rex
"...VT 5.4 based twin turbo set-up. We are looking to become not only the holder of the fastest N/A Mod Motor..." Does that mean they are going to take the Turbos off or am I just dumb and not reading this right?

John Mohovitz the owner of Accufab currently holds the boost record in the 6.8X range.
Miller
Amazing work, I love seeing projects with that kind of work and precision behind everything - down to the last twist of a bolt.
Mensan
That intake is art. I'm not sure why they would go with air/water though. I guess for short passes they can put ice water in it, but I would have gone with air/air.

Well if you had a 5.4 with GT heads then it would fit right on your car.
