copperhead Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 I'm trying to put a new clutch into my 03 wrx, and I can't get the transmission to separate from the engine. After using a prybar, I've got about half an inch of separation at the top, and maybe half that at the bottom, but it just won't move any further. Basically, does anyone have any suggestions for getting the rest of the way off, or is there something special that needs to be done? 3 of us were shoving on it and couldn't get it to move any further. copperhead Posted February 18, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 Yeah, I had trouble seeing the thing and its not a torx. Got everything apart, after sacrificing a ratchet to that stupid allen head cover thing. Now I get to wait until tomorrow to drop the flywheel off at the machine shop to get resurfaced.
