Bam
I searched google and came up with this, but I can't get it to go both ways. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/tech.php?bulletin=s10 Lets say I follow the first formula... (7+1)/2 + (40 * .03937), I get ~5.57, which means a 40mm offset on a 7" wide wheel is roughly a 5.5" backspace, is that right? How do I measure/find out how much backspace I should try and get with my new set of wheels?
1Quik7
what kinda car, wheels, and where are they from? a lot of places will know the backspace if you give them the information, as there are pretty 'standard' setups for various cars and wheel sizes...as long as it's nothing too outrageous. or get on some message forums and look at what people with similar cars are running to get an idea. wish i could help more, but it was confusing enough for me whne i ordered my wheels. Bam
Well I haven't decided on a set of wheels, but I like the Diamond Racing Avenger 16x8's for my street wheels. Coupled with 245/50/16 tires most likely. These will be going on a Cobra kit car, so that makes it a little different.
