Farkas
The leader of Outbrake Motorsports and owner of this car, Derrick, has been building this car for a couple years now and last year he was able to get it out for the first time, right before the season ended. He had some trouble keeping the couplers on his intercooler piping but other than that it was a fuckin' hoss. He rebuilt an L28ET Z motor and put an R200 skyline rear end in it with the original 4 speed tranny. Reason I thought I would share is because I saw Linc's thread about a Z and figured someone might find this pretty cool. http://www.portal.conceptual-x.com/andy/derrickz.wmv

I almost went with a pair of 44's on my corolla but I gave in and spent the extra for webers since they still make plenty of parts for them. Since then I've spent about 100 dollars on jets just to get it running decent, but I suspect once I get it on the dyno there is MUCH more jetting to be done. It's been a bunch of fun learning how to tune carbs because it's more or less a hobby that people these days aren't willing to learn. It's really satisfying when you can pop the hood, make a couple adjustments here and there that make a big difference while people watch in amazement. Kids these days are clueless, and I think carbs are cool as hell .
