ChevyMan1972
http://news.windingroad.com/auto-news/ssc-ultimate-aero-tt-supercar-up-for-bids-on-ebay/ Aero TT is one bad ass car and was suposed to be tested yesterday somewhere in WA. It was predicted to go 270 mph.... Dan

Mojoe
August 7th, 2006 9:44 AM, is when that artical was posted. The auction ended 8/06. http://offer.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=160015765472 I'm guessing it never made the #'s. Science Abuse
It will fail, both as a supercar and as a 270mph car. It's drag coefficient is going to be very high (comparably speaking), meaning with will be calling on all 1180hp to push it over the top. I see rampent engine failures. You can get that speed with less hp, you can't solve the top end # problem by merely ripping off the Diablo and stuffing more HP into it. The faster you go, the more your aerodynamic flaws hurt you. This thing will have a thousand pounds tugging at its ass from that low preasure bubble alone.

Miller
I'm staying optimistic for it, I hope it makes the run. It looks like an older EB110 on the outside, pretty cool.
Science Abuse
this is why the veryon cost 5 million to build. Each costs 5 million to build in production. The total investment in the Veyron development program was over half a billion dollars, give or take. Here is my contender. One seater badassedness. Will add vents and wings as needed, this is just rough. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/5112/untitledbd8.png
NOS50
0-100-0 11.66.That's WEAK.I'd take the Ultima GTR anyday.0-100-0 in 9.4 I believe.
Got-Boost?
Ultima GTR looks like a kit car and POS.....IMO!
ChevyMan1972
http://www.speedtv.com/articles/automotive/lifestyle/36190/ It didnt make the 273 mph....because of weather issues, but when you are running 190+ mph and changing into 6th gear and the rear tires break loose....OMG... Mr. Jones
When/if this heap surpasses the veyron's speed I'll only be mildly impressed. When they make a car that can reliably do this that is as nice, comfortable and classy inside and out as the veyron, then they'll get the applause. SPLN SUX
When/if this heap surpasses the veyron's speed I'll only be mildly impressed. When they make a car that can reliably do this that is as nice, comfortable and classy inside and out as the veyron, then they'll get the applause. Heres my view on the Veyron.... They designed a classy car, with some power, and after all the numbers were put together, they decided noone was going to buy a $900,000 hand-built bubble car with a 650hp V8. So they designed the quad turbo W12 to slap in there and called it an even Million. Boasting 1001hp STOCK is the key marketing tool, and to say that it can run 253mph while still having AC, navigation, and the finest of leathers, is what makes it appealing, even at 7 digits. A kit car that can do perform better for half the price... ill take it. I dont need leather, it gets hot in the summer. I dont need AC, i have windows. I dont need navigation, i can read a map. I dont even need a radio, the engine is music to my ears anyway. So for me, a big go cart with a twin turbo V8 and a fiber glass shell is pretty much a perfect car, and much more appealing than a big GT class supercar. Science Abuse
http://www.speedtv.com/articles/automotive/lifestyle/36190/ It didnt make the 273 mph....because of weather issues, What would Toretto say about that? 230 at half throttle means nothing. Suppose 1/2 throttle is 1/2 the hp output (it's not, it's alot more, but for argument sake...). That means they had some 500hp to spare. How much hp do you think it takes to go from 230 to 270? Everything that is working against you is multiplies per every iota of gained speed. Heres my view on the Veyron.... They designed a classy car, with some power, and after all the numbers were put together, they decided noone was going to buy a $900,000 hand-built bubble car with a 650hp V8. They really don't give a shit about the particulars of price. They lose $4 mill per car sold, what's another $100g? People will pay a million dollars for a car for the mere sake of owning a million dollar car. VAG built this car for a very simple reason, and one reason alone: To build it. Look at what the car is, all that it is, and know that it will never be surpassed by anything for at least 15 years. VAG wanted to flop its big penis on the table and say "Look what we can do". Mr. Jones
VAG wanted to flop its big penis on the table and say "Look what we can do". And quite a schlong it is. If I had the means I'd own a veyron in a heartbeat. Along with every other self indulgent pecker in the world.

Its kind of like their W12, which is just 2 VR6's welded together in the middle, except this has 8 cyl's.
