thorne
I've not been beating up on my gears at all. I've shifted fast but no flat foots or anything. at one point 3-4 had a slight grind. then it just went away. I had IPS changed my fluid to Synth redline and it started shifting way better, But 5th gear just felt worse. I now baby it into 5th. I was not sure If I could change my fluid to that combo and would it help. I'm just concerned, I've never made a hard into 5th shift as top of 4th is over 110mph. Any input would be great. If someone would drive it and give me some ideas it would be great. Thanks http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=920674&highlight=5th+gear+grind
thorne
Could this be my clutch causing these problems? If so I'm already getting my clutch replaced in the next month or 2. from Nasioc. Try pumping the clutch pedal a few times and then put it into 1st. You may have a hydraulics problem. The pumping of the pedal may take up some slack in the system and allow it to work. If this helps things out, get the hydraulics bled. how do i go about getting my hydraulics bled?
