I stopped by this evening to check on the progress Beege is making on the car. Damn, that guy is a good painter. :-D I've finally met someone as anal as I am. If anyone is considering high end paint work, he's the man....PM me if you want his contact info.

So it started out something like this a week after we got it in August:

And has progressed to this....8 months later :o

We should hopefully get the paint complete within the next month, then off to Accelerated Performance to put back together. I think Beege and I counted 3 or 4 bolts that remained on the car, so should take just a week or so to put it all back together

We're hoping to race the car for the first time July 28th at the NOPI Milan, MI race for those interested in coming up to watch.

looks good jamie. whats the deal with 8 months? seems like a long time to get rollin on a paint job.

apparently the car was TOTALLY stripped down the cage built/welded in and body work is tedious work that takes a little while to do it completely right. And seeing how the car is on a "rotisserie" (sp) the are really wanting a "perfect" car. Which in turn takes HOURS upon hours. A bunch of Spraying it on and sanding it back off.

Looks fucking amazing Jamie!! I have a good picture what that color should look cleared :) and yes amazing. Where is this guy from?

Thanks everyone. Yea, Gary couldn't get to the cage until late October, so the car sat for about 2 months. He finished towards the end of January with all the chassis work. Then Don had the car for about 6-8 weeks for mock-up. Then it went to paint 4 weeks ago. Beege works on this car weekends/evenings and already has over 150 hours into it. The amount of detail into this car is unreal.

As for the motor, pretty similar to Boost Logic's 06 car.....

Thanks. Beege (Bill) is from Akron. I did a lot of research on who I wanted painting this car and Beege was in a class of his own. I encourage anyone looking for high end paint work to call him. He doesn't like to work on Chevy's though :)
