Alternator BS

Recommended Posts

So I determined my alternator is going out. I have my senior prom Saturday. I need to take it. I'm not taking a Chevy Blazer or a Dodge Intrepid. Is there any way for a quick fix for it? I think the brushes are dirty on it, hopefully cleaning it would work. Any ideas? I will buy one if need be, but really just want a quick fix right now.

I would buy a new one rather than take this one apart in an attempt to find the problem. Dirty brushes may be the problem, but, my guess is the brushes are simply too worn.

Anything is easy when you have the right tools.

Not really, the right tools might make it easier, but it still can be a bitch.
