verse
http://www.midwestpd.com Local shop in C-bus, they have a Eastwood fender rolling tool. They pretty much specialize in GTO's.
KillJoy
Excuse my ignorance...but what does fender rolling do for you? Allow you to run larger diameter tires???
Guest Mekkahfire
This is going to sound really ghetto, but it works 100%. Use a baseball bat and use opposing force on your tire.
Scotty2Hotty
Excuse my ignorance...but what does fender rolling do for you? Allow you to run larger diameter tires??? Mostly just wider, ain't got any rubbing going on. Baseball bat works, IF you know what you're doing.

Yes, that works, but I've seen more fenders messed up by that then those that came out okay.
Guest Mekkahfire
If you keep the same pressure while rolling the bat all throughout the fender its hard to mess up. If you are known to crack-twitch or something, I can see how it would be dangerous.
Guest GMoney
Rolling with a baseball bat works best with a screw type jack because it limits the possibility on the whole weight of the car coming down on the bat plus you can make small pressure changes. Smokey
go to somone with the tool!! Sorry we missed times, but I actually had the tool last weekend to do my fenders, but it's gone now. Auto Assets will do it for $80/fender I believe.
Farkas
I'm pretty sure I have the Eastwood Roller around my dad's house.. DeeJay, I'll do it for you for like 80 dollars straight up if you'd like. I rolled the fenders on my own Corolla and it turned out well. But any time you're doing fender rolling/pulling there is always a chance you're going to crack the paint, but there are ways to preventing it and keeping it minimal. I know how to do it, but like I'm stating.. nobody can gaurantee your underside fender paint will not crack.
Guest 5.7
^ when are you free to do it?
Smokey
make sure you use a ton of heat from a heat gun or hairdrier to minimize the paint cracking. It's not the cure all, but it definately helps.
Guest 5.7
Arg.. does anyone know how much places generally charge? I want to get MTs, but looks like I'm going to have to settle for Nittos..

carl1647545492
Make sure you post b4 and after pics. I would really like to pull my fenders on my FD and get a wider tire with better clearance in there.

byhi
we rolled and then flared out my rears on 97 240 with a basball bat. the paint cracked a little on one side but none at all on the other while flaring. It's really just about taking your time and not rushing it if you dont want to have to repaint any areas (found that out first hand...) Rally Pat
Baseball bats work great, but use a heat gun or at least a hair dryer on the paint to soften it so you dont crack it.
byhi
yea we burnt out my gf's hair dryer about 30 seconds after we finished. she wasn't too upset after i bought her a new one. lol
