Bigbird
2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 87500 miles on chassis, about 30000 on the engine. engine was replaced last summer. my speculation and what the mechanic told me lead me to believe that precatalytic converter on the stock exhaust manifold was the culprit. with spec v's the stock precat can sometimes get burnt up due to unburnt fuel. when this happens fragments of it can be sucked back into the engine. since getting the new engine put in i have replaced the stock manifold with an aftermaket one that doesnt have a precat. any who on to more details. car comes with: -revolution autoworks torque damper -aem cold air intake -xs power header(i dont care what you may have heard about their turbos, no one has ever had a problem with this part and as stated above it saves the engine from precat failure) -5zigen cat-back -nissan racing short shifter -HID conversion with 10000k bulbs -17in enkei rims with goodyear eagle f1 tires(tires bought last summer) -stock header -set of 4 15in rims off of an old 240sx(for winter, drag radials, autox, whatever lol i dont care just get them out of my garage) i also have nearly everything you would need to turbo this car as well. -t3/t4 turbo(brand new) Fuel System - Injectors - Injector Clips Fuel Upgrade (return system) - Aeromotive FPR - FPR fittings - FPR plug - 6an O-rings - 5/16-6an Comp Fitting - 6an 90 bend - 6an straight - Weld fitting 6an - 6an SS hose 15ft -SAFC-II(used) (everything from the fuel system is brand new except SAFC) (all used) -protech turbo manifold -protech 3in downpipe -protech 3in midpipe -TIAL 38mm wastegate with .6bar spring(brand new) -universal intercooler(used) -multiple intercooler pipes and bends(used) -greddy type rs BOV welded to pipe already(used) all that i dont have is a gasket for the turbo, oil feed/drain lines, oil pancake, and gauges. im pretty sure thats it. everything that is used is in perfect working condition, minus any scratches that may be on it. that doesnt really affect them though. i built this kit on a budget, and with a 3in catback should make around 300whp, or just slightly shy of that. thorne
It does look nice in person. What flange does that turbo have?
turbospec29
Great car... IMO this is the best year of the Spec-V. The 03's have the same good looks of the 02, but have a revised transmission with better gear ratios. Ryan is a good friend of mine and we copied my $5k turbo kit piece by piece to save some money on his. This is a steal at this price...
