i am in need of a guy(or girl) who knows how to tune side draft carbs.

i hate carbs. i have never been able to get them setup just right. i think its because i cant stand nascar.

anyway.

i have several 240z's that need carb work.

i have rebuilt one set completly, set it up just right.

it will run great one day, then the next it runs to rich, fouls plugs, misses, etc.

FUCK.

damnit i hate carbs.

so, if you have any experience with side draft carbs, please pm me.

thanks

tony

i dont need any books. i know how they work, why, etc.(and i have all the books for them.

i have never been able to tune carbs.

some people can, some cant.

these carbs are the dual hitachi su's from a 70 240z.

the front float bowl will start dumping fuel out of the overflow or it just runs like shit.

there is no logical reason why they dont want to work right, its just me and hatered of carbs.

but thanks for the offer on the books.

i have checked for leaks, loose shit, misssing shit, hell, i even checked for gremlins.

it really must be me.

in high school i had 2 cars with carbs.

both ran like shit no matter what.

swap in a nice efi set up, runs like new.

see i think its the hillybilly technology. sice i dont have a pick up truck or watch nascar, the carbs must pick up on that and decided to fuck with me.

computer are soooo much easier to work with.

there is another solution.

i do have full coverage on the car for like 6500 bucks or so.

sooooo, someone steal it.

it will drive, so you could make it to a safe hiding place before i call the cops.

:)

I have never had issues with any of my carbed cars.

I always get screwed by the EFI.

$600 intakes

$400 injectors

$1000 managment systems etc

$400 Maf

give me a $500-800 carb and im good.
