EricKerecz
I lowsided last week on the way to school going about 50..it was my first crash it wasnt that bad but it shook me up a bit.My back tire is extremely bald and i planned on this being my last ride of the year because i didnt want to spend 170ish on a new back tire and then let it sit all winter...what do you know..haha i decide to lean a little hard into a turn and when i got low the back just whipped out from underneath me threw me up but i grabbed one of the handle bar grips somehow..and just dragged with the bike across the road for about 40 feet or so..picked it up..lol didnt even want to look at the bike. Nothing too serious just scratches on the front ferring and transmission cover..i was more pisse about my new shoes getting ruined. alsoi just bought some alpinestar moto gp gloves..easily one of the best investments otherwise my hand would have been ripped open all over the place from the knuckles all the way down my palm and arm..and i had my jacket on Come spring time i'll be fully geared up boots and all and i'll always ride with the most gear possible..otherwise even a little crash like that could eff you up

v65rider
Another thing to remember is due to the lower temps your tires won't have the grip that they had in the warmer months even if you have tread on your tires.
EricKerecz
of course, the rubber is too cold to stick to the groundand there is absolutely no tread on my tires lol

EricKerecz
i dont want to seem like a smart ass..but i dont use the rear brake at all unless im coming to an emergency stop or im locking the rear wheel on purpose to mess around..and i do blip my throttle on downshifts. I just wish i had a camera to show how bad my rear wheel is, its pretty much the only reason i went down
