1985 Dodge Omni GLHT

Yeah, my omni's for sale.

I picked up the car recently but decided it was not for me. I need to be back in another RX-7. When I got the car, I replaced the oil, plugs, cap, rotor, plugs and the o2 sensor within a day of picking up the car. I also replaced the alternator the next morning. Since then, the car has never failed to start up on me. Runs like a dream.

I was told that the turbo, the exhaust manifold and the transaxle, water pump, timing belt, injectors, head gasket, and clutch were replaced under warranty by the original owner, and then it sat and had about 50 miles put on it over the course of 7 years. It has 88,882 miles on the odometer as it sits. The paint is the biggest problem on this car. Many Dodges from this era have the same issues with paint fading and peeling. It seems that the hood and roof have been repainted, and I have started sanding off the surface rust and primering it. It's ugly, but the car has been well preserved. There is SOME rust on the underbody. It does not look to be too major. The only thing I know of that the car needs is a power steering pump and a coolant temperature sensor. Everything else works just fine. I drive this car to and from school every day and it get around 30 mpg, when you stay out of boost. It is a fast car and the torque steer can be irritating. My price is $2000 negotiable, or a trade for a RWD car, RX-7, MR-2, the like prefered. Lemme know what you got, pm, email, hit me up on AIM. I'm usually on through my phone.

That surface rust on the hatch is gone.

It needs work, I'm not going to lie/cheat you. Mostly paint, minor stuff, and it will be perfect. It keeps throwing codes, like charge air sensor, but it's just the intake on it that makes it do that.

OMG one of the cars honed by lightning bolts from Zeus himself (like my glass fuses) is for sale. Who wants to own a car that everyone will stare at in awe and most likely lean on at a meet. I sure would. Bump for an oddball.
