Guest Hal
What is the strength difference between the two axles. I can always upgrade later, but, can the 28 spline handle around 700 ft lbs?
Guest Removed
um they can but not very long...31 are much stronger!

V8 Beast
40's FTW. If your going to do it do it once.. Unless you plan on stopping at 700rtwq
Guest Removed
but i shouldnt break the 35's! ive seen low 8 sec cars running 33's. it running big tires and full spool's that will break them on the street!
Guest Hal
I'm not exactly sure what needs changed to allow for a 31 spline setup. The axle is out of a '00 GT, and it's only setup for 28. If it's not going to handle the power I will upgrade, just need to know everything that needs changed.
AJ
are you doing a LS1 swap? is that why you need to upgrade the rear end?

Guest Hal
I'm not sure, there is a joist in the way in the garage. I could put a small pit in the center, or I could just accept the fact I could only lift a car 3-4'. I'll call you tomorrow if I need any help.
