You're correct that there isn't really any wheel-to-wheel racing in F1 anymore. People love it because it's the best drivers in the world driving the fastest cars (around a race track, let's not argue semantics) on the planet. People love to watch the best, and the history makers, which is why F1 is so popular. If you honestly think that there isn't any good motorsports on TV then you're just closing your eyes and lying to yourself. Speed GT and Speed Touring series are some of the best racing I've watched in years. MotoGP is always good to watch, and if we're lucky they'll actually show some of the Runoffs this year.
