Rally Pat
I have a pipe bender. Its simple, but it works. Could I using some exhaust tubing to make charge pipes for my turbo setup?
Guest Removed
ive seen it...just heat soak is worse, unless you wrap them!
Rally Pat
Yeah, I plan on insulating them with something, probably exhaust wrap.
Guest Removed
i used 3" mandrel bent exhuast pipe as a ram air inlet on my integ..it was 32" long ..but heat soak was not a issue with the dry shot nozzle mount right behind the air filter..freezing the in coming air! Dave1647545494
crush bent pipe doesn't flow that well make sure they are 1/2" or so bigger than whatever you would run in mandrel
tristanlee85
I use 2.25" aluminized steel from Jegs for my IC piping. I would rather go welding the steel instead of having to use couplers. Then again, I don't have the tools to weld aluminum.
1qwk767
buddy used his harbor freight welder on the aluminized steel and it came out just fine welds arent the pretiest due to it being a homemade turbo kit, manifold welding and everything else. I will see if I can dig up pics of his manifold and post in here http://www.5ccreations.com/images/other/icpiping/100_6271.jpg http://www.5ccreations.com/images/other/icpiping/100_6270.jpg http://www.5ccreations.com/images/other/icpiping/100_6269.jpg
