TurboRust
This will be the 3rd and 4th bushings i've replaced in these upr uppers and lowers in a few months. the first two times it was the drivers rear arm in the back where it connects to the axle. this time it was the pass side upper to frame and the pass side lower to frame. My car sits low on bbk springs chopped a half coil up front and one coil in back. Someone had said he thinks my car's center of gravity is too low and is causing the bushings to shred. I drive the car aggressively and run 315-30-18 pilot sports out back. only 300whpand 315wtq the torque boxes havent tore but i cant tell if they're maybe twisted or not. bushings: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/Turborust/upperbushing.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e91/Turborust/upperbushing2.jpg how low the car sits http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/d6.jpg I'm gonna put stock springs in the back tonight and see if it affects the control arm bushings any. TurboRust
hows daily ride comfort with the sphericals? I might get to the track 2 times a year but like i said am pretty hard on it on the street, i'd prefer to not sacrifice too much daily ride comfort
Guest Removed
i wouldnt know...hard to hear your sefl think in my car...you know that! you was one of the last few too hear it run! well they make them bigger with some companys...like maximun motorsports(sp)...designed for more side to side loads etc! Id say a much firmer ride.
ProwlerZ
I second that, just go for the rod-ends. A bit noisier, but one less thing to worry about, and structure goes +
rl
When the car is on the ground, what angle are the control arms at? do they sit higher in the front than they do in the back? If not they should, sometimes when cars are to low you have to drop the rear LCA mount a few inches, they have brackets to do this on F-body's but noone makes them for mustangs (That I have seen). I don't think that would cause a bushing failure like that though...that just looks like a cheap bushing.
Smokey
I don't have a solution other than DON'T RAISE THAT CAR. looks too good. It'd be a shame.

AJ
do they make Delrin bushings for your car? that will kill two birds with one stone, won't come apart like polly or be too harsh on the street like sphericals.
Dave1647545494
his car is so low the arms are flat when it sits on the ground..... a properly aligned suspension won't tear up those bushings two new control arms say; I help you put your stock springs or even uncut lowering springs back in the rear and you won't tear another bushing its either that or we have to make brackets to correct the angle of the control arm your call if it tears I'll buy you new lower control arms
