Did I miss something in the article, I dont think they ever actually said what rule was broken just a "mis-interpretation" of the rules of allowing freshmen to play.

 

That means the rule was broken. They were following and old rule and not the current one. The forfeit would be the harshest penalty and the Big Ten is going to try to avoid that. I've been following this since it broke saturday

Yes I know that but, whats the actual rule. You cant play true freshmen? Was he considered a redshirt freshman then they changed their mind? was he not eligible for grades?

Regardless of the outcome we know Michigan DID win those games and all this really does if they are penalized is likely take them out of the Big 10 title run.

 

They would not be wins or losses for either team. The game would have never happened
