BloodRed Posted October 22, 2007 Report Share Posted October 22, 2007 I have a 94 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) that of course has rusted out rocker panels. I don't know how to weld so I am looking for someone that would be able to cut and fix this for me. At this point, I still don't know which way I would like to get this fixed. I have seen 2 trains of thought on how to fix. One is to buy the replacement panels and weld them in. The other is to cut out the panels and weld in box steal. I won't be doing any heavy duty off roading, but light to mild off roading, so I don't know if the steal route is worth it. So does anyone know someone that I could get to do this for me? I may be able to get my father-in-law or a friend of a friend to cut the old ones out and weld in the new ones, but for both of them, it is a bad time of the year for stuff like this.
